Terms of access
Version 2026-10-28
The service and agreement
These terms are between you, the individual user, and the Institute of Scientific Instruments of the Czech Academy of Sciences, v. v. i. (Ústav přístrojové techniky AV ČR, v. v. i.), Královopolská 147, 612 00 Brno, Czechia, identification number 68081731, which operates PerfLab.
PerfLab provides accounts and tools for scientific data analysis and cooperation. Access is provided free of charge for academic and research use, subject to manual approval. We agree the arrangements with you by email; the agreement takes effect when we grant you access under those agreed arrangements. Requesting access does not guarantee approval.
Requesting access by email
Email perflab@isibrno.cz to discuss access and your intended research use. The Request access button opens your email app. We handle requests, agree the applicable terms and confirm access through the email exchange.
We retain the relevant correspondence as evidence of the access agreement and applicable terms. Simply viewing this page or clicking Request access is not recorded as acceptance of an agreement.
Your account
Use accurate account information, protect your credentials and use only access you are authorized to exercise. Do not share your credentials, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with other users' work or misuse the service. Tell us promptly if you suspect that your account has been compromised.
Your account identifies you, controls access to projects, and lets you run and manage analyses. The Privacy notice explains the processing of personal data. Agreeing to these terms is separate from consent to optional browser preferences.
Research uploads
Only anonymized research data may be uploaded by default. Pseudonymized research data may be uploaded only under a prior mutual written agreement between your institution and the Institute of Scientific Instruments covering the proposed processing in PerfLab.
Remove direct patient identifiers before uploading, including those in metadata, filenames and images. Identification keys must never be uploaded. Ensure that you have authority to upload the data and that preparation, transfer and processing comply with your institution's requirements and applicable national laws governing patient data. These terms alone do not authorize the processing of pseudonymized patient data or replace required institutional agreements.
Managing analyses and research results
You manage your analyses and are responsible for checking inputs, parameters and outputs for your research purpose. Keep your own copies of data and results you need to retain; access to PerfLab is not a promise of permanent archival storage or uninterrupted availability. Administrators may remove analyses after prior notice. Contact us if your project needs specific retention arrangements.
No warranty
PerfLab, including its software, services and analysis outputs, is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the extent permitted by applicable law. This includes implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness or reliability of analysis outputs, or that the software will be uninterrupted, secure or free from errors.
You are responsible for independently validating results and assessing suitability for your research purpose. This disclaimer does not exclude or restrict any rights or obligations that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted, including applicable data protection obligations.
Ending access
You can stop using PerfLab and request account deletion at perflab@isibrno.cz. We may suspend or end access where necessary to protect the service or address a breach of these terms. We will give notice where practicable, although urgent security issues may require immediate action.
Account and data deletion, operational record retention and recovery backups are explained in the Privacy notice.
Questions and changes
Contact perflab@isibrno.cz with questions about these terms or your access. If we propose material changes to your agreement, we will tell you and seek agreement before applying those changes. The version you accepted remains available at its dated address.
